How to Volunteer:
Carefully review the duty descriptions and note any required qualifications for the area you wish to volunteer. 
 


Each volunteer must register individually. *Any group volunteering much register each person.

Once you have signed up for a shift you are automatically assigned to that shift. Feel free to sign up for as many volunteer duties as you wish throughout the day, but please do not sign up for two areas that require you to be at during the same time frame.

After you register your Ironman captain will contact you before August 30th to provide you with further information.


Finish Line Volunteer Opportunities:
  • Timing:
    Volunteer duty includes retrieving timing chips off the athletes as they cross the finish line.
  • finish catcher volunteer
  • Finish Line Catchers:
    Catchers will work in pairs on one of two shifts to assist athletes after they cross the finish line. Duties include, but are not limited to: walking with/holding up/carrying athletes and escorting them through the "Finisher Process" of chip removal, receiving their medal, t-shirt, photo, water and food. The finish line is located between Doty and Wilson Street.
  • Finish Line Awards:
    Ensure that athletes receive their Official Finisher Medals and Official Finisher t-shirts to Ironman finishers after they have crossed the finish line.
