Here's what it takes to be the next BADGER BIG SHOT

Highest overall score trophy: one male, one female 

TRAP: 25 targets from 16 yds. 
25 targets from 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 yds

SKEET: 2 rounds of 25 targets

5-STAND: 25 targets from elevated stand, 25 targets from ground stations

Driving Directions: From HWY 51 take Brokaw Exit #197 and
follow CTY WW east  through Brokaw.
Look for entrance at the top of the hill on the left.

Competitors enter & medal in one class only.
Gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to the top males and females in each class.


Here's what it takes to hoist the BADGER BIG SHOT trophy:
highest combined score of Trap + Skeet + 5-Stand (150 targets thrown)

Trophy awarded to top male and female shooters.

Shooting classes: AAA, AA, A, B, C, D

96% and over AAA
92% and under 96% AA
89% and under 92% A
86% and under 89% B
82% and under 86% C
Under 82% D

Adult Classes: ages 19-29, 30-49, 50-64, Seniors 65+

Junior Classes: 13 & Under, 14-15, 16-18
Contestants must be prepared to supply a birth certificate or other proof of age.
May shoot in Open class.
 

All athletes must sign the Badger State Games Athlete Waiver online during registration or on the printable registration forms at check-in.

SCHEDULE

Check-in: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your flight.

Start Times:

Saturday: 9am – 1:00pm   
Squad Times: 15 Shooters (3 squads of 5) per time.
                         9AM, 11AM, 1PM

If all times fill, additional times will be scheduled. 

The Trap, Skeet, and 5-Stand fields will be used simultaneously;
therefore each squad will start on a different field and then move to the next.

Shooting time reservations will be assigned online.
Any shooter registering by mail, please list 3 timeslots of choice.
Entries accepted on a first come, first served basis.


Onsite entries possible and will be assigned to available times.

RULES

(WISCONSIN AND ILLINOIS RESIDENTS ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE)

General Rules:

Each athlete will shoot a total of 150 clay targets.

No choke changes within the discipline; chokes may be changed when changing sport (trap to skeet, for example)

Re-loaded shells may be used, subject to inspection per applicable National Sporting Clays Association rules. Competition conducted as per NSCA standards.

Practice limited to available fields, targets available at normal club prices.

Everyone on the course (shooters, trappers, scorers, spectators) MUST wear eye and ear protection.

No Carry-Ins allowed.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

For those that want to cheer on our athletes and to see them bring home the gold here are a few tips:

Best place to view the event & how much you can see: BADGER BIG SHOT combines Trap, Skeet, and 5-Stand. All fields have limited bench seating; all fields are visible from the clubhouse porch. Completing the 150 target event takes about 2 hours. Spectators may accompany competitors and will be shown from where to watch; eye & ear protection is required for everyone on the course.


Seating Available or bring your own chairs: Limited bench seating at each field; spectators may bring their own chairs. 

Admission Fee: None.

Concessions: Food and beverages (soda, water, beer) available at the clubhouse; indoor bathrooms.

Carry-ins allowed (food &/or drink): No.

Merchandise: No.

Are Signs or Noise makers allowed: Shooters will make their own noise!

Other Information: Ear & Eye protection required and is available at WS&TC.
