Find Lodging Now!

Located in the Town of Brokaw which is 5 miles N of Wausau. Take Exit 197 off HWY 51 at Brokaw, go west on WW to the first right (there is a sign to the club). Take 32nd Ave north about 2.5 miles, turn right on club road at sign.

**On-site registration for 3D event is $15 if it is your second event. On-site registration is for the 3D event only!

Printable Registration Form / Printable Waiver Form All athletes must sign the Badger State Games Athlete Waiver online during registration or on the printable registration forms at check-in. (Waivers are attached to the registration forms)



SPECTATOR INFORMATION

For those that want to cheer on our athletes and to see them bring home the gold here are a few tips:

Best place to view the event & how much you can see: Spectators can most if not all of the event through the glass windows at the RMB bow club. Mind you there are a few blind spots and space is limited.
Seating Available or bring your own chairs: There are chairs and seating however again space is limited so be prepared to stand.
Admission Fee: No
Concessions: Yes
Carry-ins allowed (food &/or drink): No alcohol allowed on shooting range.
Merchandise: Club apparel is available for purchase as well.
Are Signs or Noise makers allowed: No please this is a sport of concentration so no distractions please.
Other Information: In the event of bad weather traffic will need to be routed to arrive from the north of the club as the roads in the steep hills can be treacherous. Please use County Hwy K take Maine Dr to the east and then turn south on N 28th Ave and turn east to on Julip Dr to the club.

SCHEDULE

(Schedule subject to change, check this page for future updates) Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.

START TIME:
300 Round: Please select start time during registration. Registering online will give you immediate confirmation of your flight time. Accepted on a first come first served basis. (17 spots available for each time slot.)
3D Event: No specific time required. Competitors shoot upon arrival on a first come – first served basis
 
Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
Note you can shoot both 300 Round and 3D Event.



RULES

GENERAL RULES:
Competitors may shoot the 300 round, 3D round, or both.
NFAA rules apply  *(House rules listed below are used where NFAA rules do not fit with bow styles)
NFAA membership is not required for BSG.
Cadets shoot 10 Yard distances (Cadets are athletes 12 years old & under).
No cell phones or cameras on the shooting line while archers are shooting.
No crossbows allowed.
No alcohol allowed on shooting range.
Events will be flighted based on the number of participants in each division.

If you are using the mail-in registration form, please select your shooting time in the special information section on the mail-in registration form.
WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS, MINNESOTA and MICHIGAN UPPER PENINSULA RESIDENTS ONLY.

FORMAT:
300 Round: 20 yards, 60 shots, 5 spot or single spot target.
3D Event: 14 targets total, two shots per target, forward vitals with center 12 ring. Yardage varies with all cadet shots 10 yards or less. All other divisions will shoot at targets beyond 10 yards. Yardage will be marked yardage written on the shooting stake and range finders are allowed.

DEFINITIONS:
Barebow: Archers shooting Barebow style will use bow, arrows, strings and accessories free from any sights, marks or blemishes that may be used as a sighting aid.
Freestyle: Any type of bow, sights, arrows, stabilizers, and magnification.
Bowhunter: 12"stabilizer, 5” sight extension, sliding sights will be allowed, no magnification, and no back bars.
Olympic Freestyle: Equipment must conform with Olympic rules established by NFAA.
*Traditional: This style of shooting is for those who wish to compete with the Recurve or Longbow.
PRO (for donation): For those Wisconsin athletes who do not meet BSG eligibility rules.



RESULTS

Awards will be mailed to recipients - if you live more than 30 miles from Wausau. Those who are within 30 miles need to pick them up at the Visitor Center.
